Yeah I heard those things too, but fact is I have never had any problems with any of my iPods ( or any of my friends ), my first generation iPod is still running fine ( even though it is being abused by my sister ). I think those reports in the media are hugely exaggerated, build quality is excellent and if you handle it with care it will give you pleasure for many years to come...

I heard some terrible things about the iPods. They seem to break like every 5 minutes or so. And you getting your third one, doesnt prove me any different :-)

BTW: Just ordered some decent 'phones... the B & O's are okay... but I wanted more out of the iPod so I decided to get a pair of Sennheiser HD25's.....
