Theater Room version 2.0

Description}: Well, I’ve made some changes since I last posted my HT picture here. Gone are the horrible foam acoustic paneling, they simply fell off too much (off the backer board) and normally at rather embarrassing times (company over). They’ve been replaced by these custom made acoustic tiles (wood frame with hard-pack insulation and fabric wrapped). I hug them with aircraft cable. I also ran a full-length black curtain in the front of the room to remove any visual distractions. As for the equipment, it’s gone through some major changes as well. I have replaced the Marantz SR-7400 with a Sunfire Theater Grand proc and Rotel RMB-1075 amplifier. I purchased a Samsung OTA HD tuner as well. My front-end speaker setup has changed from B&W 601 S2s and a CC6 S2 center to the 601 S3s and LCR600 S3 shown. The 601 S2s were moved to the rear and the 600 S3s were removed and used as speakers in the kitchen (they are great). The only other improvement is the Rane BB22 unbalanced RCA to balanced XLR converter not shown. Type Twelve Audio Edifice Subwoofer

Description}: Here's a shot of my TTA Edifice sub in Ferrari Rosso Corsa (Ferrari red). It features a 10" flat piston driver in a sealed enclosure. It's currently running off a 600 watt QSC RMX-850 pro amp. The sub is isolated from the floor by a stand painted to match. Please forgive the crude lighting as it is hard to photograph this sub.

Type Twelve Audio Monolith Subwoofer

Description}: Here's a shot of my TTA Monolith sub in high gloss black. It features a 12" flat piston driver in a sealed enclosure. It's currently running off a 600 watt QSC RMX-850 pro amp. The sub is isolated from the floor by a sand filled matching stand painted to match and with yellowheart inlay (hard to see in the pic). Please forgive the crude lighting as it is hard to photograph this sub.

Description}: I'm finally reaching a finishing point to my basement HT. Some of the features you may notice are the acoustic panels, lighting and Palliser HT seating. Please forgive the light sitting on the seat; my camera does not take detailed pictures in darker areas so it was necessary. I'm currently finishing the black out curtains, new electrical and stainless wall plates and I have more acoustic treatments coming.
